Much of my work has revolved around domestic settings. Most often, out of necessity and convenience, that setting has been my own home, of which there have been many over the years. My work is often characterized by the unpredictability and distinction of places and things that have long since entered private space from the commercial origins - when they have become personal and part of our natural environment. As a creative complement to my time alone in the studio, I've spent the last 15 years teaching art to students of all ages. In New York, I have taught for Pratt Institute, Studio in a School, Queens Museum, and beyond. I am enthusiastic about making art, sharing the process, and facilitating the experience for others.
ARTIST IN (YOUR) RESIDENCE was inspired by the desire to develop themes and subject matter that are most intriguing to me, integrate a social aspect into my practice, and offer art lovers a glimpse inside the artist's process. Ultimately, this is a unique and captivating experience for both Patron and Artist!
